Our Team

Carlos Parajon is a co-founder of Harbor Island Equity Partners and has over 25 years experience in private equity, strategy consulting, and banking and corporate finance. He has held senior management roles at: Quorum Associates, leading the successful turnaround of an executive search firm; Connor & Company, a management consulting firm specializing in operations management; The Rockefeller Group in private equity and corporate strategy; and at JP Morgan Chase in corporate finance and capital markets. Carlos completed the JPMorgan Chase (formerly Manufacturers Hanover Trust) formal MBA credit training program.

Carlos has served on the Boards of: Amulet Pharmaceuticals, Sensory Analytics, Basho Technologies, 3rd St. Properties, and EnviCor Enterprises. He also served on the Advisory Boards of: IDEA Fund Partners, The Committee for Biotechnology in North Carolina, the UNCW Entrepreneurship Center, and The Small Business Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW).

Carlos earned an A.B. degree from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Carlos has extensive international experience; he has lived and worked in New York, Madrid and London.  He is fluent in Spanish.

Chad Paul is a co-founder of Harbor Island Equity Partners. He is currently Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bald Head Island Limited, LLC a year-round and vacation community located just off the coast of Southport, NC.

Previously Chad was a Managing Partner of Arnolt Partners, LLC, a private equity investment partnership in Indianapolis where he was responsible for overseeing a diverse mix of industry and product service company holdings. Chad’s past employers include JP Morgan Chase, and Salomon Brothers, Inc.

Chad holds a B.A. degree in economics from Holy Cross and a Masters from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration. Additionally, he is actively involved with the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he serves on the Board of the Cameron School of Business.

Bill is a co-founder of Cameron Management, Inc. an investment management company based in Wilmington, North Carolina, with a focus on real estate development, brokerage and property management. He provides hands-on leadership to the firm in both daily operations and long-term planning. Bill is also a leader in the community, serving on boards, as past president of the NC Azalea Festival, and as an elder for St. Andrew’s Covenant Presbyterian Church. Earlier in his career, Bill served as the Chief Operating Officer of Atlantic Telecasting Corporation, the NBC television affiliate in Wilmington, NC, and was a practicing attorney, also in Wilmington. Bill holds an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as a Juris Doctorate from UNC’s School of Law.

Jon is the President of JTV Management Company, a business consulting and management firm in Wilmington, NC.  He has also been active in real estate development for two decades, investing in, developing and managing commercial and residential real estate throughout the Carolinas. Mr. Vincent is a graduate of Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Jon is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the North Carolina and Mississippi State Societies of Certified Public Accountants.
