Carlos Parajon is a co-founder of Harbor Island Equity Partners and has over 25 years experience in private equity, strategy consulting, and banking and corporate finance. He has held senior management roles at: Quorum Associates, leading the successful turnaround of an executive search firm; Connor & Company, a management consulting firm specializing in operations management; The Rockefeller Group in private equity and corporate strategy; and at JP Morgan Chase in corporate finance and capital markets. Carlos completed the JPMorgan Chase (formerly Manufacturers Hanover Trust) formal MBA credit training program.
Carlos has served on the Boards of: Amulet Pharmaceuticals, Sensory Analytics, Basho Technologies, 3rd St. Properties, and EnviCor Enterprises. He also served on the Advisory Boards of: IDEA Fund Partners, The Committee for Biotechnology in North Carolina, the UNCW Entrepreneurship Center, and The Small Business Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW).
Carlos earned an A.B. degree from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Carlos has extensive international experience; he has lived and worked in New York, Madrid and London. He is fluent in Spanish.
